“In today's world all too much is broadcasted about the bad, the criminal, the unjust and 9.9 times out of 10 the good things in life take a back seat. There are a whole lot of good things happening in this world that is not noticed and goes unreported. We owe it to our fellow colleagues and children to make them aware of simple good things that happen such as the return of my knife. This gentleman has the character of a true GENTLEMAN, the morals of a Saint and the fortitude to not only know what's the right thing to do but to DO IT!
My knife was "lost” in 2007 while I was riding in the Bacchus parade. We were at the staging area, lining up all the floats and bands to start, when I noticed the empty sheath. I just thought that one of my fellow riders had borrowed and would return later. Well that never did happen. I spent an hour on that float hoping to locate after the parade........nothing.....I contacted every rider after the parade.........nothing....where the knife was found it is still a mystery.......
But the upside to this story is the GOOD nature of the gentlemen that returned the knife to me. And the fact that Carlton Evans knives have a distinct appeal. Carlton’s knives are crafted with the utmost quality, the meticulous attention to detail; a craft that is one of a kind......and has a great monetary value that was recognized.
